Formula
Apex to Fortnite formula
Fortnite sens = Apex sens × 3.960396Apex Legends turns 0.022° per mouse count at sensitivity 1; Fortnite turns 0.005555°. The ratio of the two, 0.022 ÷ 0.005555, is the multiplier. It holds at any DPI as long as you use the same DPI in both games.
Apex: Apex scopes use per-optic ADS multipliers on top of this value; this converts hipfire.
Fortnite: Targeting and scope sensitivity are separate Fortnite sliders; this converts the X/Y-axis (hipfire) value.

Converting from
Sensitivity in Apex Legends
Apex Legends runs on a heavily modified Source engine and shares CS2’s 0.022° yaw, so the same number turns the same distance in both. The FOV slider does not change hipfire turn speed, but ADS speed follows each optic’s zoom and can be tuned per optic once hipfire is set.
- Where to set it
- Settings → Mouse/Keyboard → Mouse Sensitivity
- Common range
- 0.9–2 at 800 DPI (26–58 cm/360°)
Converting to
Sensitivity in Fortnite
Fortnite shows sensitivity as a percentage split across X-axis and Y-axis sliders; keep them equal or vertical aim will feel off. Targeting and scope sensitivity are separate percentages, and build and edit modes have their own multipliers, so only the base X/Y value is converted here.
- Where to set it
- Settings → Mouse & Keyboard → X/Y-Axis Sensitivity (keep both equal)
- Common range
- 5%–9% at 800 DPI (23–41 cm/360°)

Where Apex players land in Fortnite
Competitive Apex players mostly use 0.9–2 at 800 DPI, which converts to Fortnite 3.6%–7.9%. Fortnite players typically sit at 5%–9%, so a typical Apex sens lands inside the usual Fortnite range once converted.
FAQ
Apex to Fortnite sens questions
How do I convert Apex sens to Fortnite?
To keep the same feel, multiply your Apex sens by 3.9604. At the same DPI, Apex 1.5 equals Fortnite 5.9%. If you play Fortnite at a different DPI, enter both DPIs in the converter above and it compensates.
What is Apex 1.5 in Fortnite?
Apex 1.5 at 800 DPI is Fortnite 5.9% at 800 DPI (exactly 5.94059). Both need 34.6 cm of mouse movement for a full 360° turn.
Is Apex sensitivity the same as Fortnite?
No. Apex turns 0.022° per mouse count at sensitivity 1 and Fortnite turns 0.005555°, so the same number in Fortnite is 3.96× slower. That is why you need to convert.
Where do I change sensitivity in Fortnite?
Settings → Mouse & Keyboard → X/Y-Axis Sensitivity (keep both equal). Targeting and scope sensitivity are separate Fortnite sliders; this converts the X/Y-axis (hipfire) value.
Why does Fortnite feel different at the converted sens?
The converted value matches your 360° distance exactly, but Apex and Fortnite use different fields of view and camera setups, so targets can appear to move at a different speed on screen. Make sure mouse acceleration is off in both games and in Windows, then give it a few sessions before tweaking.
